Who we are
Color Wheel Psychiatry was created to walk beside you through healing, knowing that healing takes numerous forms. Treatment will consist of evidence-based psychiatry, medication management, complementary and alternative interventions, and brief psychotherapy integrated into sessions.
Katherine "Kate" Price (she/her) is a masters-prepared, Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over ten years of experience working as a PMHNP in the pediatric and adult mental health field.
Kate grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of Tennessee and started her career in Nashville. She has lived many places but considers Washington D.C. and Colorado home. When she is not reading a book, you can find her at an art museum, farmers’ market or in the mountains- Appalachian or Rocky- with her husband and occasionally one of her dogs, Millie. Her other dog Charlotte is more of a homebody. She is a skier in the most casual way and will never turn down a chicken tender from the ski lodge. She deeply believes laughter is a potent form of medicine and greatly enjoys a Dad Joke.
“What is the bravest thing you've ever said? asked the boy.
'Help,' said the horse.
'Asking for help isn't giving up,' said the horse. 'It's refusing to give up.”
